Short version: Cyber Pets Game does not collect, store or share any personal information about anyone, child or adult. There is nothing to opt out of, because nothing is collected.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not ask for a name, an email address, an age or a location. There is no account to create and no form to fill in anywhere on this site or in the game.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising scripts, no social media pixels and no third-party trackers of any kind. The fonts and images are served from this site itself, so loading the page does not contact any other company.
Where your pet is saved
Your pet's name, appearance and progress are saved using your own browser's storage, on your own device. That copy is what the game plays from, and it works with no internet at all.
Because a browser can clear its own storage — Safari does so after seven days without a visit — the game also keeps a backup. Before anything is sent, it is encrypted on your device with a key made from your Pet Code. The code never leaves the device, so what we store is a block of ciphertext we have no way of opening. We can hold it, and we can hand it back when the code asks for it. We cannot read it.
The backup is filed under a meaningless string derived from the same code, not under any name, email or account, because there is none. A backup nobody opens for eighteen months is deleted.
Children
Cyber Pets Game is made for children and is designed so that a child can play it without ever revealing anything about themselves. There is no chat, no messaging, no usernames, no profiles, no user-generated content and no multiplayer. A child cannot be contacted by anyone through this game.
Because no personal information is ever collected from anyone, we do not need parental consent to collect it, and there is no stored data for a parent to request or delete.
Advertising and purchases
There is no advertising in Cyber Pets Game and nothing in it costs money. There is no premium currency, no loot box, no subscription and no paid shortcut.
Server logs
The web server records one line for each page requested by a search engine crawler, and for any request that fails. Each line holds the date, which crawler it was, the address of the page and whether it loaded.
It deliberately does not record IP addresses, and it does not log page requests from ordinary visitors at all. We keep these lines only to see that search engines can reach the site and that nothing is broken. There is nothing in them that could identify you or your child.
Changes to this policy
If the game ever changes in a way that affects this policy, this page is updated first and the date at the top changes with it. Our intention is for the answer to stay exactly as it is today: nothing collected.
